On April 7th 1998, Sunday Times columnist Hazel Courteney, underwent an experience that was to change her life forever. She became telepathic, and began affecting electrical equipment. Most remarkable of all, however, was the realization that she could clearly hear spirits from the higher realms, and found herself receiving direct communication from Diana, Princess of Wales which she talks about in her book "Divine Intervention".

Hazel Courteney has been writing about alternative health subjects for several years, after deciding to take charge of her own health, following years of illness. She has written for both The Daily Mail and the Sunday Times. In 1997 she was voted Health Journalist of the Year and in 2000 had her own TV show on Channel Health.
In 1998 shortly before Easter, whilst shopping in Harrods, she had what she described as a Spiritual Emergency or Near Death Experience. Her first spiritual book, “Divine Intervention”, published in 1999, described this event in detail, as well as the events that followed. In 2005, “Evidence For the Sixth Sense – Divine Intervention 2”, was published, detailing the next few years of her life. Now in 2010, Hazel has just brought out her latest spiritual book, “Countdown to Coherence”, which brings the story right up to date. The book contains interviews with several cutting edge scientists and spiritual teachers on how the gap between spirituality and science is being bridged, and how we can all become “coherent”.
Interview questions:
Starting with your Spiritual Emergency experience, can you describe to our listeners what this experience was like for you?
Did you have any interest in Spirituality before this event?
What was the reaction to your book “Divine Intervention” once it was published?
So now you’ve just published your third Spirituality based book, called “Countdown to Coherence”. Could you explain to our listeners, what “Coherence” is all about?
Would you say there is any link between Coherence and Ascension?
Would you say that there are different stages that you go through before you reach coherence?
I notice that most of the scientists that you interview for the book are based in the USA. Why do you think that very few UK based scientists are coming forward to research this link between Science and Spirituality?
There’s so many interesting concepts that are discussed in the book and obviously we haven’t got time to discuss them here, but one I wanted to discuss with you was that of the Orb phenomenon. I myself have taken many photographs in the past few years where orbs have appeared in the shot. Would you say that all orbs are actual spirits, or could they just be balls of dust like some sceptics say?
You also describe a visit you made to the Damanhur community in Italy, where you interviewed its founder, Oberto Airaudi. Can you envisage similar type communities springing up elsewhere around the world, or do you think that Damanhur is just an Italian phenomenem?
I notice that you have managed to get articles on both Damanhur and Orbs published in the Daily Mail a few years back. Would you say that Fleet Street is becoming more open to Spiritual subjects?
Going back to Countdown To Coherence. There’s so many important and influential scientists as well as spiritual teachers that you interviewed in the book such as Professor Bill Tiller, Dr Gary Swartz, Dr Rupert Sheldrake, Alberto Villoldo and Klaus Heineman to name just a few. Who would you say had the most impact on you?
One final question, what have you got in the pipeline with your writing projects?
