Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 10th September 2018. The week begins with the Sun in opposition to Neptune. This can be a very draining influence, and especially across the axis of Virgo and Pisces, where the virtue and efficiency of the Sun in Virgo is challenged, by the dreamy, ephemeral energies of the most gassy planet in the universe. Ironically, the benefits of last week's Virgo New Moon continue to be very potent throughout this week seeing the Sun angling up brilliantly to both Jupiter and Pluto. So, if we are clear about what we want to achieve, some real transformations can occur in our situations.
Yet in the second half of the week Mercury also enters its opposition with Neptune too, so any lack of clarity, detailed research, or sense of purpose, could be challenged by anyone we encounter who seeks to pour cold water on our ideas, or those that lack enthusiasm in general.
Here again, with Mercury entering into a splendid angle with Pluto as the week draws to a close, being very clear minded about what we want to achieve can certainly bring dividends.
Yet this week can see some impulsive behaviour. Why? Well, Venus and Uranus are in opposition, and whether it's a material item that we find ourselves desiring, or someone new who enters our orbit, this can be a time when we do something out of character, or live very much in the moment. In a settled relationship one partner, perhaps both, may seek more personal freedom. Single? Anyone with a quite intense, charismatic personality may take on a much greater aura of attraction.
Midweek also sees Mars storm its way back into Aquarius after a one month vacation. He will stay in this location through to the middle of November, when he powers into the sign of Pisces but through to the 26th of this month, he continues his square with Uranus, which first began in the second week of May. Because both planets are located in fixed signs, taking positions that are immovable is probably not the best approach, but this aspect could bring to the fore any relationship where someone tends to have a might is right approach to things. We need to be conscious of this in our own attitudes, but also identified it and defend it in anyone else we encounter.
